More artifacts unearthed while unpacking and moving into the new studio! I've found a box full of out of print and unique 3" CD-R releases from the earlier years of the label. Fifteen copies of a 19-minute ambient piece named Dust Assemblage have been listed here, bearing a thick hand-cut patterned cardstock insert with blue ink stamping on the reverse side. The 3" CD-R is white and has the Milieu Music PO box stamp on the face, with the words "Dust Assemblage" handwritten in Sharpie pen below it. This release was originally intended for a Milieu Music release, with this short stack of copies produced, before a now-defunct label took some interest in releasing the piece themselves. The Milieu Music copies were shelved and eventually forgotten. I remembered that I'd drafted a few copies of the piece when I rediscovered it for inclusion on the Perfumes Made From The Dusts Of Sunken Kingdoms retrospective box set, but at that time I could not locate them. The wonders of moving to a new place! If I had to guess, I'd estimate that this recording was made in 2006 or 2007, but beyond that I couldn't say more about it.
